Aims, values and principles
Every child has the right to be loved and cared for. They have the right to be respected and loved for who they are and what they represent. Every child has the right to be listened to and the right to speak. Each child’s life should be built on a deep foundation of love where fun, excitement and joy are at the centre of all they do. Children should be able to spend their time in a bright and welcoming environment full of colourful, stimulating varied toys and activities. They should be offered wonderful home-cooked food that is nutritious and tasty. They should be able to grow up within a loving environment where they are taught the necessary life skills to take with them into their school years and adult life. As our children often say “manners are very important!” Childhood is not about reaching a ‘learning goal’ when a so called expert says you should, but having the freedom to grow and develop in your own way and in your own time. It’s about being surrounded by loving grown ups who know you inside out and are able to provide activities that enable you to learn relevant skills in exciting ways that are specific to you!
Ultimately childhood is about having fun!
