Hungry Minds, who are we?

For Shanna and Simon the idea of Hungry Minds Childcare began in 2002 in London, when we struggled to find a childcare setting that had everything we wanted for our son. We chose to leave our careers behind to focus on caring for him within our home, registering as childminders to care for local Dulwich families children.

In 2007 we decided to make the move to Brighton and Hove and set up Hungry Minds Childcare. This has grown into a thriving home based nursery setting serving local families for nearly 20 years. Hungry Minds has kept all of its family values and has the dynamic of still looking and feeling like a home. In 2009 Danielle join us and is now responsible for the day to day running of the nursery. Dan is qualified to level 5 in childcare, leading a team of 12 amazing people who give their all to the children in our care.

As we are registered as childcare on domestic premises all of our staff have full checks done by Ofsted to ensure their suitability to work with children as well as enhanced DBS certificates.
